My story with yoga Someone said Yoga is like love story, you get into it & you change. 20 some years ago I got my first yoga mat a purple color one. I carried around that yoga mat from Ashtanga yoga, Iyangar yoga, Hot yoga all kind of yoga classes I could find in CA. I was so fascinated what yoga does to human body consciousness. In 2004 I completed residential certification program VYOMA-YIC in Bangalore India. Following year I completed yoga therapy training at ATOMA VIKASA Centre of Yogic Sciences in Mysore India. This yoga therapy training was most serious hard things I did in my life. I never forget that in the middle of the training I started having mysterious fever for days. Teacher said don’t worry I have seen this before, keep show up & practice. When I came out from fever, I felt something deep in side of me shifted by itself. According a some expert it was some changes were happening in my spinal cords that caused fever. Like when a serpent changes the skin to move on to another body. That was beginning of my true yogini life !
About healing in stillness "I notice in my own yoga practice that usually amazing healing processes happen in the stillness while I am resting between one asana to another or one breath to another; energy releases, or I feel tissues unwinding. I watch them and smile inside. Also I am aware of the same phenomenon in any hands-on healing bodywork. When our physical body meets stillness, all tension drops and relaxes into whatever is in that moment. I wish this stillness to happen to every client."
